Grace Counseling Therapists
Susan Sheidy is a Post-Masters level therapist with a career focus on empowering women, individuals, those struggling in addiction, trauma & abuse, and couples in distress. Her previous experience includes working with domestic violence victims and family members, grief, homeless, and childhood trauma. She is committed to helping individuals find and live out their God-designed life, with a desire to use her personal life experiences to help connect and encourage others. She strongly feels led to pour into communities and empower individuals to find security and value in their lives. Her own story has been one of redemption, and she wants to pass on hope to the hopeless so they, too, can place their confidence in Christ. She has an immense love for people and their stories. She believes her gift of encouragement provides a platform of safety and trust so clients are able to heal in a therapeutic environment that displays a sense of being known and loved. Susan is passionate about meeting people right where they are and walking alongside them.
Susan has a huge heart for mission work, and has spent much time loving on the children and wonderful people of Nicaragua. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and is always up for anything fun. Susan has experience in youth leadership and mentoring.
She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and is certified in pastoral care counseling for soul care, trauma and abuse, domestic violence, marriage and family counseling, children, and counseling for women. Susan is also EMDR certified for trauma therapy. She is currently working on her certification in sex therapy. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Christian Counseling from Liberty University and also received her Master of Arts graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty.ed to integrating faith-based approaches with counseling to bring clients hope and healing.
Pastor Bob Zonts earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Logistics, with an emphasis in Marketing from Penn State University before moving on to attain his Master of Arts in Human Services: Marriage and Family Counseling, from Liberty University. Bob has 16 years of corporate/business ministry experience and has been serving in Christian pastoral ministry since 2000. Previous experience includes hospital diagnostic sales for a large healthcare corporation, as well as an entrepreneur (one of the founders and Vice President of Cornerstone Enterprises, Inc.)
Bob had the privilege of serving as one of the pastors at North Way Christian Community in Wexford, PA, and since July 2007, Bob is honored to serve as the Care Pastor here at Grace Community Church. Along with providing executive team oversight for Grace Care and Counseling, Bob provides pastoral counseling, as well as premarital counseling as part of the wedding process at Grace. Moreover, he is also very passionate about providing Post-Masters-level marriage counseling. Bob utilizes Hope-Focused Marriage Counseling (Brief Therapy) which is an evidence-based, integrated approach consisting of a couple-specific assessment and then psychology and empathetic, biblical Christianity, based on level of principle.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Bob and his family have lived in West Virginia, Colorado, and then returned to Pennsylvania in 1995. He enjoys time with their multiple dogs, and the two horses which reside in their stables. As such, Bob is a Rancher “wannabe”, loves the Rocky Mountains, Penn State, WVU (because of his daughter!), sports, and connecting over coffee and high goo-factor chocolate peanut butter desserts…with Reddi-whip! He and his wife, Cindy, are parents to a beautiful adult daughter, as well as incredibly thankful for such a great son in-law.
